You can pair a top and skirt that compliment beautifully but to have them be an exact pair is literally perfect. Magic Moments

I was away this past weekend visiting one of my dearest friends from our time in the military. She lives on a lot of land outside of Houston with animals, gardens and beautiful trees.  It reminds me a lot of my Mamma's house. I don't see myself moving out to the country but I am in awe of the peace and calmness of being out there. 

Currently my season is so full. Full of great things but it can be overwhelming at times. 

I find it a blessing to slow down and notice the magic in the moments.

Here are some at my Mamma's house that I cherish in my heart and mind ...

Front porch chit chats are where we share some of the sweetest words

Clover patches while common and often unwanted

Friday Favorites: Springy Shirts

TGIF! Gals I'm arriving in Houston TX today to see one of my dearest of friends from our time in the military. I haven't laughed with her in person in over 7 years. Despite so many moves and time zones we have stayed true to our friendship, talking as much as we could with an abundance of grace when there was too many days between calls. 

Truly, the bonds made with the ladies I met on that base will last my entire life!

The next greatest part of this trip is attending the rodeo together!! YEEHAW! I'm bursting with excitement!

Walking on Sunshine

The sun has been shining bright this week and I'm grateful for it with my whole heart! We've created so many fun memories with each other, our friends and an extra magical day at my Mamma's yesterday with all day outdoor fun.

Sunshine is magical in itself. The warm bright rays have a way of keeping my attitude and outlook just as bright. If you can step into the sun I promise it will cover you in cheerful blessings! 

You can also wear cheer! 

This floral yellow skirt is breezy and such an easy piece to wear. Dressed it up on vacation or with a cotton tee and sandals for play it will compliment your smile where ever you are.

I paired with with a contrasting stripe pattern in soft blue. The cropped length and strong shoulders enhance the shape & proportions. The structured top really balances the soft feminine skirt.

Skin Care

Gals, despite an array of feelings I have, my 40th birthday will happen (God willing) next month. As this milestone approaches I have found myself caring more for my skin and using products that hopefully will make it healthier, brighter and less blemished. 

I have also decided not to pursue injectables as part of my regime (if they were significantly less expensive you best bet I'd be in the chair on a regular basis) but instead I'll just cross my fingers that all these serums and creams have some magic in them.

I'm no expert but I do believe that cleansing, using a toner, vitamin C, retinol and a good moisturizer are all great.

Here's what I've been using ...

Cleanser - I've been using this one for a couple years now morning and night with warm water.

Toner - I use this morning and night after cleansing. Witch hazel is a great option for a toner! I have a gal pal that swears by it and it's super inexpensive.

I use these cotton pads with the toner. They don't absorb as much preventing wasted product!

Vitamin C - I've been using this in the mornings after toner for 2 years now. It is for brightening and health.

Retinol - I use a prescriptive strength from my dermatologist. I'm not a diligent using it as it is very drying. I use at night after toner and most often mix a pea size amount with my moisturizer.

Moisturizer - I use this morning and night as my last step all over from my hairline and down my chest.

Eye Cream - I've been using this one for a few years and find it very light and refreshing.

Lip Mask - I have this by my bed side and try really hard to remember to put it on each night.

Face Mask - I use this hydrating rose mask morning or night (when I remember) and often Vivian use it with me :)

All of these products last a very long time and I have confidence in their ingredients.
