Friday Favorites: Gorgeous Greens

We all know how important it is to eat your greens, but I find it just as great for your wellbeing to also wear them. And not just on St. Patrick's day!

Green is a soothing color but also rich. To me it's a representation of nature, thriving life and evokes a feeling of calm.

I recently added these green boots to my wardrobe from my trip to TX. I find this green very complimentary as a statement and a neutral.

Here are some gorgeous green pieces ...

Friday 5: Mauve & Moss

TGIF! It's the first weekend in March and gals, it's going to be a good one! Mr is off of work which NEVER happens.  In fact the last time he had a Saturday night off was back in October but that's just how working in the ER goes.  It actually encourages us to make the most of our moments together. We still get in date nights they're just random and honestly I kinda like it :) But it is challenge when we want to spend time with our friends so we quickly made plans for a double date with some of our favorites! #cheers

I love mixing colors, especially the unexpected.  While I love some bold shades it's nice to go a little softer.  Pink and green are the ultimate preppy pairing when done in the bright hues.  Take these same colors and slide them down the scale and you get a lighter more dusty vibe.  But don't worry there's nothing dull about this combo.  In fact it's sophisticated and more on the neutral side.

These colors not only go well together but they pop next others like navy, ivory, camel, purple and of course stripes! Stripes go with everything.

I've rounded up some pieces that will pair beautifully ...

Friday Findings ....

Bringing a little bit of the Emerald City to your wardrobe is sure to create some envy!

Green is the most complimentary shade for me and my red hair  but I find that it's just as lovely on blondes and brunettes.  Green is just pretty and personally I can't get enough.

This is your lucky Friday, Ann Taylor is having their 'Friends & Family' 40% off sale and there's lots of gorgeous green items included.  Ann Taylor is one of my favorites for classic pieces, especially for the office.  Stop by the store or browse online but don't miss out on this sale - it's a good one!

Go Green ....

Shirt Dress

Shirt dresses are simple, easy and oh so comfortable.  A shirt dress is one in the style of a button down shirt, typically without a seam at the waist.

A shirt dress is perfect for the office and weekend.  For office pair with pumps and a dressy belt.  For a casual look opt for sandals and a fabric belt.
For me, a belt is a must!  They create shape and serve as an accessory making your look more polished and put together.

Confesssion:  I collect belts!  My favorites are vintage finds and chain styles

Green is the best shade for complimenting my red locks and it's also a vibrant color for spring and summer (perfect for St. Patircks Day). This dress comes in several colors & at a bargain price!

Green Glam

I Speak for All Red Heads when I say that Our Color is Emerald Green!  It Compliments our Fiery Locks like Pearls on a Little Black Dress.

The Coolness of Green Next to the Warm Orange Tint is Utterly Striking.

Naturally I Gravitate to Green and Add it to my Wardrobe as Often as I can.

There are Many Shades of Green - Lime, Kelly, Hunter, Mint, Pine, Olive ....
But my Favorite is Emerald. Rich like the Gemstone.  When I think of Emeralds, I see Elizabeth Taylor Showered in Diamonds and Jewels.  No One was More Glamorous!

Especially, now that the Holidays are Quickly Approaching (35 Days til Christmas Ekkk), Looking Glamorous for Parties is One of my Favorite Parts!

I Found this Green Topper a Few Years Ago and Feel Glamorous Each Time I wear it.  I Pair it Often with Work Wear as well as with Jeans and Blouses on the Weekends.  For Special Occasions it Finishes a Dark Cocktail Dress with Vibrant Color.

For This Look I Mixed my Dressy & Casual: Black Jeans, Silk Ruffled Snake Blouse and Heeled Mules; Making it a 'Wear Anywhere' Ensemble.
