Friday Favorites: Sunny Side

TGIF! Gals, I believe it's true that if we keep on the sunny side it will help us every day to stay bright.

Also, dressing yourself in a pretty yellow can also make you feel as good as gold despite whatever the day may bring (it's safe to say we've been given some crazy challenges this year).

Yellow can often be an intimidating color to wear. This saturated jewel tone (think of a peacock feather) is rich and warm so it compliments all skin and hair colors. It's referred to as honey, marigold, ocher, mustard, saffron, gold and sunflower. It one of the pretties colors for Fall and I don't know about you but I'm ready to embrace a new cooler season.

Here are 20 pieces in this sunny shade ...

I added this belt for a more structured shape and my favorite, most worn shoes this summer, these espadrilles.  When it actually does cool off a pair of botties and denim jacket will pair perfectly.

Teal & Mustard

Teal + Mustard - What a Lovely Color Combination!

Mustard Yellow is my Favorite Shade of Yellow because of it's Rich and Saturated Hue.
I Style Mustard Yellow as a Neutral much as I would Gold.   Mustard is One of the, 'Peacock Colors'.  Peacock Feathers Contain Deep Gorgeous and Bright Shades of Teal, Purple, Green and Gold.  I used these for my Wedding so I have a Sentimental Fondness.

For this Look I Paired my Mustard Skirt with a Shiny Silk Teal Blouse.  The Snake Printed Belt Breaks Up the Color Block and Adds some Print & Texture.  I Opted for a Black Pair of Cage Pumps for a Little Edge and a Fur Vest for a Touch of Warmth.

Jewel-Toned Silk

Jewel Tones are Rich Saturated Hues Like Those of Emeralds, Sapphires and Rubies.

A Geometric and Floral Print in Luxurious Silk Fabric makes for a Modern, Beautiful Blouse.

I Must Say I'm Quite Proud of Myself.  After Year & Years of Wearing Solids on Solids I'm Embracing Prints and Loving it!

Pair with Lighter Neutrals  Such as White, Beige, Heather Grey & Tan in Spring/Summer
& Darker Neutrals Such as Navy, Black, Brown and Charcoal Grey in Fall/Winter.

Because there are so many Colors in this Blouse be Careful when Pairing with Colors Found in the Print, Choose Darker Shades to Ground the Look (Green, Blue, Red, Purple)

When Wearing an Intricate Print, Keep Your Jewelry Simple So that the Print is the Focus.

I Chose a Light Heather Grey Suit Skirt for a 'Wear to Work' Look & Added Some Shine with a Fun Pair of Silver Pumps.
