My dreams of Spring are becoming a reality!  The temps are warming up and I can't remember the last time I wore a coat (I don't think it's actually been that long I just choose to block the cold memories).  I'm a Southern gal and thrive under warm, sunny skies.  

This long vest is S.H.A.R.P.!  It's sleek, modern and polishes a look.  It adds a twist on the timeless skirt suit.  For a smart, professional effect I styled it over a striped lavender button down and a taupe suit skirt.  This vest ties it all together.

Make the most out of your suits by mixing up the pieces. 

Get creative and pair this vest with a printed tee and skinny jeans or even layered over a floral a-line dress.

Sailor Suit

Jumpsuits are my jam. 

This summer culotte jumpsuit is perfect for warm weather and causes no issues with length, I can wear flats or heels.  Think of it as a midi dress but with legs.

I love the big wide stripes; so nautical. Maybe it's because Mr is a Naval Officer, or my love of summer at the beach but either way I'm all nautical this time of year. 

I went with my cobalt blue d'orsay pumps for a dressy look. FYI: Mixing shades of a color is fun.  

This jumpsuit is fitted so nicely on the top and has a comfortable wide leg opening.

Snakin Day to Night

I'm bringing a lot of snake print into my closet this season.  I love animal prints, and snake is sophisticated and edgy.  

I've shared my love of local boutiques before but may I remind you that shopping local businesses supports your community and also makes for interesting 'one of a kind' finds!

One of my favorite boutiques is Sovella's.  The owner Mallory is a gem with her sweet personality and eye for all things pretty.  I saw this tank in her store and instantly knew I had to have it and mentally was going through all the way's I'd style it. The soft colors: green, grey, ivory, and taupe go with everything!  You could pair it with any neutral.

Spring Striped Blazer

Oh how I love blazers!  

Add it to my list of collections ... I have over 20! (I'm going to stop counting there) 

I'm picky about my blazers. Here are some of the things I look for:

Fabric - Wool, Cashmere, Cotton Blends 

Lining - I love a secret pop of print or bright color

Functional Cuff Buttons: Adds detail and having petite arms this allows me to shorten the sleeve length exposing a fun lining 

For Spring/Summer cotton and linen blazers add cool sophistication to a look. 

This one incorporated my must haves when it comes to construction as well as 2 of my favorite spring essentials: stripes & pastels! 

This blue and white striped blazer was such a bargain that I wouldn't have expected it to have incorporated such detail. Target #FTW!  

For an office look I paired with an orchid sheath suit dress to brighten & add color.  I paired my ensemble with tan pumps and a navy clutch pulling from the jacket button and blue stripe. 

For a casual look, pair with shorts or jeans and a simple tee or tank with a fun pair of sandals.

Shirt Dress

Shirt dresses are simple, easy and oh so comfortable.  A shirt dress is one in the style of a button down shirt, typically without a seam at the waist.

A shirt dress is perfect for the office and weekend.  For office pair with pumps and a dressy belt.  For a casual look opt for sandals and a fabric belt.

For me, a belt is a must!  They create shape and serve as an accessory making your look more polished and put together. 

Confesssion:  I collect belts!  My favorites are vintage finds and chain styles

Green is the best shade for complimenting my red locks and it's also a vibrant color for spring and summer (perfect for St. Patircks Day). This dress comes in several colors & at a bargain price!
