Sparkle & Shine

We could all use a little bit of sparkle this Summer. #amen My favorite kind of sparkle is the sunshine glistening on the water, but a pretty sequin skirt is a nice second.

Now, I bet you're first thought was, Sarah-Louise, what in the world am I going to do with a sequin skirt when there's no where to go.

Gals, let's be positive! Social times are coming again and when they do hopefully you'll be ready to dress for them.  Sequins are NOT just for holidays and black tie affairs. In pretty patterned pieces you can surely style them in a dressy way but they can easily pair with casual pieces for less formal occasions.

I love the pretty colors and flower pattern on this skirt. It allows for a lot of options in styling.  Any colored top would compliment, denim, a crisp white shirt and don't forget your darker neutrals black brown and navy.  Whether you're a graphic tee and sneaker gal or a blouse and heel gal this skirt will have you shining!

And how chic would this be in the colder months with a sweater and/or leather Moto jacket and booties!

If you've got a shower, wedding, date night, vacation, church service or a gathering with your gal pals (mine have been backyard hang outs on Friday nights) show up in sparkles!

Dress Beautifully in Sparkles

Tee - Denim - Bling

A Basic Tee Adds lots of Versatility to Your Wardrobe.

Adding a Tee to Your "Work Clothes" Allows you to Get More Wear Outside of the Office, While Making Your Causal Look Chic.

Opt for a Printed Tee to Balance Your Solid Pieces and to Express Your Personality
Floral - Feminine
Graphic - Edgy
Baseball Tee & Camo - Sporty
International Phrases - Worldly
Etc...

Pencils Skirts Identify Most Often with Office Wear, but by Adding Casual Pieces Like a Denim Jacket and a Fun Tee You Have Instant Weekend Wear.

Add some Sparkle for Extra Contrast to your Casual Pieces.

I Chose Gray Boots and a Navy Handbag (Worn Crossbody for a Less Dressy Look) to Compliment the Tones of the Tee & Denim.

Pinot Noir Pairings

Pinot Noir is Warm, Rich, & Elegant.
Pinot Noir Pairs Fabulously with Gal Pals, Dinner, and my Good & Bad Days.

Today it Pairs Fabulously in this Wool Blazer!

The Saturated Burgundy is Complimented Nicely with the Tonal Rose Tipping & Nautical Brass Buttons. Who Doesn't Love a Touch of Pink & Nautical?!!

The Two Shades of Blue in the Shirt & Jeans also Create a Tonal Backdrop making the Colored Blazer the Focal Point.

This Oxford Blue Shirt Shines with it's Sparkle Collar, adding Bling and Eliminating the Need for Jewelry.

This Rhinestone High Collar Calls for Coiffing your Mane in an Updo.
Hairs can get caught in the sparkles causing breakage and ouches!

Rolling the Cuffs of your Jeans can Create a Casual Look & Showcase the Shoes You're Strutting In.
Personally, I Love to Strut in Metallic Pointy Pumps, They Match Everything!!

These particular jeans are too short to wear with heels, by cuffing them I'm able to wear them with any pump, wedge or bootie
So when the dryer shrinks your favorite pair it's not a total loss ...
Roll the cuffs and consider it a Happy Accident :)

I try to Incorporate a Vintage Treasure when Possible.  This Bag is a 1960's Original Made in Italy by Bettina.
The Snake Skin Texture, Removable Long Strap and Chanel Inspired Clasp made it a Perfect Addition to my Collection!

For this blend of spots and stripes I chose my favorite neutrals, navy & cream.
