Laser Cut Leather

This Laser Cut Faux-Leather Shift Dress is a Gem!  It's Unique Textured Design and Mod Style Made it Irresistible.

You don't See Dresses like this Everyday ... Which meant I Just Had to Have It.
The Overlay is Light allowing for movement and the Shell is Stretchy in an Orange Color Making it Comfortable for all Seasons.

Note: Orange isn't my Favorite Color to Wear as I have Ginger hues in my Mane and Freckles but the Cream of the Faux-Leather Brightens and Adds Contrast.

The Mod Era was Defined by it's Boxy Cuts, Graphic Designs and Short Hems Lines.  These aren't the Most Favorable on Petite Curvy Gals but I Find this Dress Incorporates these Concepts in a more Modern and Flattering Way with it's Longer Hem.  In Keeping with the Vintage Look I added a Brown Leather Handbag from the 60's (the smell confirms it's mid-century origin but it's worth enduring for it's beauty!)

I plan to Transition this Dress for Day & Office as Well as Across the Seasons.
Day: Denim Jacket & Flats
Office: Blazer/Cardigan in Navy or Purple with Nude/Brown Pumps
Colder Temps:  Tights in Brown/Plum/Navy with Knee High or Ankle Boots

Carnation Pink

Pink has been my Favorite Color Since the Beginning (Even though Mamma didn't know for sure I was a Girl, She had Already started a Collection of Pretty Pink Dresses Before I was Born)

Pink Comes in Many Shades from Hot Bright Pink to Dark Magenta Pink to Soft Pastel Pink which I Grew Up Calling 'Carnation Pink'.  It's Commonly Associated with Baby Showers and Little Girls but I Find it Soft, Light and Refreshing. It's my Favorite Shade.

Not Only is this Satin Blouse by Kate Spade Pretty in Pink, it's Embellished with Clear Gems on the Collar (Just the Right Amount of Sparkle).

For a Professional 'Wear-to-Work' Look I paired Carnation Pink with a Black Pencil Skirt and Pumps.  The Contrast of the Pastel and Black Hues Make for a Classy Look.
For Day-Wear Pair with a Pair of Skinny Jeans.

Pleated

Pleats are Positively one of the Greatest Designs for Skirts.  They Come in All Different Sizes & Fabrics but Regardless You'll Want to Do One Thing in a Pleated Skirt -TWIRL!

I've been Searching for a Skirt with Small Pleats for a Few Weeks Now, but my Results were all Too Long, Plaid (I'll Pass on the School Girl Look), or Too Voluminous ... But this One was Just Right!

It's Navy (Favorite Dark Neutral),  Hits Just Above the Knee, and a Flat Lattice Stitched Front, with the Pleats Stating Just Below the Hips Giving it Just the Right Amount of Flounce.

I Styled this Look with a Nautical Vibe by Paired it with a Long Vest (Squeezing in All the White I can Before Summer's End), and Lots of Gold.  Favorite Part of this Vest are the Tortoise and Gold Buttons!

Lace

Lace is Delicate, Feminine & to Me has a Vintage and Expensive Connotation. Outside of Special Occasion Wear I'm Cautious when Wearing at the Office because Sometimes the Intimate Undertone can Come Across Inappropriately in a Professional Setting.  However, the Conservative Cut of the Top Paired with a Classic Black Pencil Skirt Makes the Ensemble Perfect for Any Work Environment.

Due to the Intricate Detailing of the Lace I've Kept my Accessories Simple with Gold Disc Studs & Cuff Bangle and Polished with Pulled Back Hair and Mid Heeled Sandals.

My Mamma Picked this Blouse Out for Me, Making Me Feel Beautiful Every Time I Wear It.

Tip:  Opt for a Flesh Toned Camisole Underneath to Make the Lace Detail Pop.

Drop Waist

Drop Waist Dress: Banana Republic || White Pumps: Nine West ||

The Drop Waist Dress has Surely Become One of my Favorite Cuts.

A Drop Waist is Best Described as a Horizontal Line Cut Across the Body Below the Hips, Instead of at Your Natural Waist. Because the Drop Waist Falls Below the Hips, it Creates the Allusion of a Lengthened Torso Resulting in a Longer, Leaner Line of the Body.

The Flare of the 1920's brought the Drop Waist Movement to Life with its Feminine Flounce.

This Dress is Made of a Thick Ponte with Stretch Allowing it to Hold its Shape.
The Scoop Neckline with Racerback Cut Show Off the Shoulder while the Exposed Back Zipper Adds Elongating Detail.

In Keeping with the 1920's Inspiration I Accessorized with a Long Strand of Pearls.

Summer Tweed

Tweed will Always Conjure Up Images of Chanel, No Matter the Season.  Summer Tweed Tends to Be Lighter in Weight and Color.  Constructed in Cotton Candy Hues Creates a Ladylike Look.

Tweed is One of My Most Loved Fabrics for it's Warmth, Texture, and Mix of Colors.

Black Halo Designs Beautiful Dresses with Unique Interest in the Necklines Making them a Favorite.  Black Halo's Signature Jackie O Dress is Classic with it's Silhouette, while Modern Featuring an Asymmetric Neckline and Tab Sleeve.  This Blocked Tweed Dress has a Open Slash Details on the Front and Back Neckline Giving it a Subtle Peak of Sexy.

The Contrast of the Two Fabrics Creates a Waist Slimming Line Where the Two Meet.

The Tweed on this Dress is Fun and Striking with the Pops of Rainbow Colors Against the Soft Neutral Canvas. With the Detailing, Fabric & Fit, this Dress Makes Me Feel Sophisticated and Ladylike.
