Beach Cruiser

 Over the years, bike rides at the beach have become one of my most enjoyed activities. Long walks in the sand scooping up treasures is peaceful and often romantic but on a bike ride you feel the wind and see the scenery at a much faster pace. It feels very freeing!

At the beach, the land is flat making it easy peesy, the breeze keeps you cool and oh the sky! The colors of the sunrise and sunset over the ocean is truly a masterpiece. 

Most of the time I wear authentic clothing, a light weight top and tennis skirt but I'll just as easily slip on a pair of shorts over my swimsuit and pedal off. 

I encourage you on your next trip to the beach, to cruise on a bike. 

Ryan likes to play music on his speaker while I tend to make it my quiet time to reflect, pray and soak in the nature views. 

Note: I rent or borrow bikes when I'm traveling. I've done it here in Kiawah Island SC, Greenville SC & Longboat Key FL.

 Happy Weekend! I missed yesterday's Friday Favorites post and while I did have cheerful content planned it can wait while I spend time together with my family.

Note: We don't get family time often due to Ryan's job in emergency medicine so we cherish all moments we have together.

Stranded in Style

 

Today, I begin my 5 day adventure on Kiawah Island with my family and friends.

We go every year as Ryan attends an emergency medicine conference here and truly have the BEST time. It has become my most favorite vacation place and the highlight of every year.  This is the first year we are bringing our darling Vivian. 

Note: She finished her kindergarten year yesterday and gracious did it pull at my heart.

It's hot and humid on the island so you want to dress cool & comfortable. At the same time, vacations are a fashion show for me, a chance to wear things that are pretty and outside of my every day wear.

Friday Favorites: Kiawah Island Vacation

 Happy TGIF from Kiawah Island! I am here with Ryan for an annual medical conference he attends.  This trip together each June is one of my favorites not only for the time together just us two but for the destination. This quiet scenic island is so beautiful, relaxing and equally fun.

We ride bikes for hours all over, enjoy the beach, he plays ocean side golf, we dine, we cheers and we even enjoy friends we rarely get to see. Oh I love watching all the pretty birds and spotting alligators! 

Note: It's also a whole new level of hot and humid. You must accept the sweat and frizzy hair.
