The Velvet Touch

Velvet is everywhere this season! From clothing to shoes, the soft warm fabric with it's eye catching sheen adds elements of luxe to any look.  See some of my velvet favorites from this post a few weeks ago.

P.S.  I'm stalking my front door for this pair of velvet shoes to arrive.

This blouse blends classic and modern components with an embellishment of a velvet medallion.

The design incorporated the foundation of a poplin dress shirt and reworked the construction with a shorter hem and oversized elbow sleeves.

I feel that this top is one of those pieces that you can wear all year long for so many occasions.  For the office, ditch the boring solids and pair it with a pencil skirt or trousers.  For casual days you can't go wrong with denim and come spring white will make it pop!

If the shorter hem line has you concerned, wear it on top of a sheath dress or with a higher waisted a line skirt.  Personally, I'm a tucker but I like adding variations to my wardrobe - keeps things fresh.

Bedazzled Boyfriend

These jeans are it! Running to the grocery, throw on the boyfriends. Brunch with your gal pals, throw on the boyfriends.  Date night with Mr, throw on the boyfriends.  I think you get it.

Boyfriend jeans are a loose cut, low rise jean designed to be forgiving in the fit much like men's jeans.  They're casual, comfortable and have that soft worn in feel.  Boyfriends are the answer for those 'I've gained 5 lbs' days, bad hair days and running late days.

These boyfriends are fancy!  Kudos to Loft for these jeans - they call them 'relaxed skinny'.  The embellishment of beaded clusters along the pocket seams takes these straight to causal chic! The bling allows you to take these up a notch by pairing with heels and a silk blouse and you're evening ready. Pair with a tee/sweater and flats/sneakers and you're weekend ready.

Truth:  I've slid these on for every after-hours errand I've run over the past 5 days ... I'm addicted.

Tortoise

Tortoise Shell to Most, Refers to the Large Turtles - To a Design/Fashion Enthusiast We think of the Amber, Black & Brown Spotted Resin Inspired by the Uniquely Colored and Patterned Shell these Tortoise's have in Order to Blend and Protect Themselves.

In the Past the Actual Shells were Used for All Sorts of Things: Furniture, Dish-ware, Accessories etc...  Today we Replicate this Beautiful Pattern Found in Nature with a Plastic Resin Material.

My Love of Tortoise is in it's Blend of Neutrals (Black and Brown) but Even More so for the Rich Golden Amber Color.  Amber is a Mix of Gold and Orange; Combined with the Darker Neutrals makes for a Palette that Compliments Any Color Pairing.  The Pattern is Spotty but Abstract, with no Definite Lines or Distinctions.

This Blouse is an Eye Catcher!  Rhinestone Beaded Detailing has been Present on Garments (Especially the Neckline) for the Past Couple of Years, but this Beading is Highly Distinct for it's Large Tortoise Flower Shaped Design.  It was a Must Have!

The Tortoise Beads have a Polished Luster that Contrasts Against the Super Sparkly Gems as Well as the Cream Canvas of the Blouse.

The Neutral Colors of the Tortoise is Sure to Compliment All Skin & Hair Colors as Well as Any Color You Choose to Pair with this Blouse.  I Chose Emerald Green (For Red Head's it's Our Signature Color to Compliment our Ginger Locks!)  I Plan to also Pair with these Hues: Mustard, Blue, Gray, Black, Red, and Denim.
For a Causal Look: Wear this Blouse Untucked with a Pair of Black Cigarette Pants and Heels/Booties = Super Chic!

Look for Tortoise in Your Sunglasses & Hair Clips - it's Softer than a Solid Brown or Black and Blends Nicely with All Hair Colors.
