Hello Spring!

It's here! It's here! Spring is here! I'm so excited for flowers, sunshine and warmer weather.  Now according to my weather app the actual conditions aren't quite falling into line but it's ok I'll be patient.  I am going to start dressing the part.  That means lighter colors and floral prints.

This outfit is perfect to transition between the seasons.  This top with its tiny floral print, delicate ruffle detail and smocking to create a pretty shape is so much fun for week day or weekend.  It pairs nicely with jeans or trousers/pencil skirt. And because it's sleeveless layer a blazer for added sophistication. Or denim jacket for a more casual look. I love how the darker shades balance the bright flowers to ease you into Spring.

I paired it with a medium wash jean but I really want to pull out my white jeans.  Pretty sure I'm not going to be able to wait until Easter.

Now these booties are amazing! They're a little bit edgy, a little bit cool weather and a little bit warm weather. In a nut shell wear them all year.  I tend to wear very classic pieces but I also love to add touches of modern. When you add in current trends with your classics you create a very modern look without being too trendy. These booties are comfortable and are even great with dresses.
I'm obsessed.

Pastel Purses

Spring is my most favorite season for several reasons: Easter (best holiday ever 'He is Risen'!!), my birthday, blooming flowers, warm sunshine and the return of wearing white & pastels!

Pastels are feminine, light and just so pretty.
But don't limit pastels to just your garments. Incorporate these lovely shades in a handbag.  These leather bags pair beautifully with neutrals (white, tan, navy grey), bold colors (teal, fuchsia, kelly green) and all prints!

I added 2 new pastel purses to my collection below.  It was refreshing to pack up my winter bags and adorn my selves with brighter more colorful bags.
Thanks to all who shopped my ebay closet, you helped support my purchases :)

Blues

There's no Sadness in These Monday Blues.  I Love Pairing Shades of a Color Together. When Styling a Tonal Look be Sure to Incorporate Interest with Detailing or Accessories.

Here in the South Light Blue is Referred to as 'Carolina' Blue from the Signature UNC- Chapel Hill Color - Mr's an Alum so it's Favorite!
This 'Carolina' Blue Blouse Brings Interest & Femininity with it's Pleated Ruffles.

I'm Definitely a Blues over Blacks Gal.  While Most Gals Can't Get Enough Black Pieces in their Closet, I Hunt for Blues, Navy Blues.  Navy isn't Nearly as Easy to Find as Black, so When I Find a Great Navy Piece it Almost Always Comes Home.

P.S. You Can Totally Mix Blues & Blacks! (Sounds like a good post ... stay tuned)

I Added Some Bright to the Look with my Handbag and Spectator Pumps in White & Navy.

Safari Style

The Days are Heating up as Summer Approaches.  And the Nights are Filled with Dreams of Sunny Vacations to New and Exciting Places.

One of the Most Beautiful Places on Earth is Africa.  Full of Natural Color and Prints

And Since a Vacation to Africa isn't in my Near Future, Why not Create a Inspired Safari Look.  Being a Dressy Gal, Cargo Shorts & Vests were not an Option - Mini Skirts & Silk Blouses, Why Yes that's a Fit.

Kudos to Zebras for being the First to Style Stripes

I like that this Skirt's Zebra Print is in Brown & Cream ... a Softer Version of the Classic and Sometimes Harsh Black and White.

This Emerald Jewel Toned Silk Blouse Compliments the Rich Brown and Reminded me of the Brilliant Gems Found in Africa.

I Kept my Shoes & Jewelry Neutral to Let the Print and Bold Color Shine on their own.
