Leather Weather

Gals, these are the BEST faux leather pants!

They are soft. They have just the right amount of stretch that they have structure but easy to move in. They are true to size. They have all the design elements of a jean but with a chic shine and texture of real leather.

These can be styled causally with a sweater, sweatshirt, denim or cotton tank. For a dressy look style with a blouse and heels. The cropped length allows for any shoe.

Statement Sweater

Note: the collar is removable

Happy Monday! It's a cold one here and I'm quite happy to bundle up in a cozy sweater and warm fuzzy slippers (life changing!).

Sweaters can often be 'basic' in solid colors, and simple designs. As beautiful, warm and versatile as a cable, turtle neck and cashmere knit is, it can lack the details and embellishments that a blouse offers.

So I encourage you to consider a sweater that makes a statement with big balloon sleeves, oversized collar, beaded embroidery and/or exaggerated weave.

Just in case mine is too #Extra for you here are some others that make a bold statement ...

Pink Jungle

A soft sweater and jeans a long skirt is my new go-to this season.  Don't get me wrong I love a good pair of jeans and I've got a couple good posts coming at you with this season's denim trends, but I'm loving the femininely that a skirt has along with the same coverage and ease of movement.

Places to go and occasions outside our homes are far and few between, I know that, but when I do leave I want to feel put together and like myself.  A long skirt doesn't require any extra work.  In fact you can still skip shaving your legs and they're actually more forgiving than a pair of jeans. Bonus, sneakers are all the rage with skirts and dresses so embrace the chic comfort!

A printed skirt can be a little more fun and it allows for more interesting paring options.  Of course you can always opt for neutrals, ivory, black, navy, brown ... but pulling from a color inside the print is a little more lively in my opinion.
I chose the soft pink in this skirt but plan on styling with a green too.

And let me remind you that a crisp white shirt is ALWAYS a fabulous idea!

Knits & Pleats

Well gals, because soft sweaters are are cozy and a pleated skirt makes great twirls this outfit is undeniably pretty fabulous. Need I go on?!

Now for the accessories I mixed the classy with the edgy, pearls and studded pumps.
Pearls are not just for old ladies, personally I love wearing mine.  They're forever cherished pieces that I hope to pass down to baby Vivian Louise and for even her to pass down. Keeping your outfit modern will remove any 'Grandma' vibes.

I wore this outfit to church this past Sunday but it would be perfect for the office or an upcoming holiday shindig. Replace the sweater with a blouse and you have year long wear.

This sweater has a puff sleeve, but NOT the 80's kind (although there are tiny shoulder pads sewn in).  That's most of the reason I bought it, I have very narrow and small shoulders and I feel it balances my shape.
